Welcome to Class 3...
Class 3 is for children in Lower Key Stage 2, Years 3 and 4 (aged 7-9). Our teacher is Miss Brown and we are supported by our teaching assistants, Ms Senior, Ms Shepherd and Miss Rodrigues.
PE is taught by Mr Turley and Mrs Sunter.
French is taught by Mrs Nelson.
Music is provided by the Cumbria Music Hub and Taught by Mrs Jemma Knaggs.
We learn lots of new and exciting things both inside and out of our classroom.
We all help to plan our own curriculum, which makes our learning extra fun and relevant and we also help to design our own displays.
We enjoy having visitors in class and going on lots of visits to help us learn; these include an annual residential visit to places such as Hawkshead or Grasmere in the nearby Lake District – a real mini adventure!
We currently have weekly lessons from specialist teachers in Music (learning to play the violin and recorder) and sports coaches in PE.
Each term, we take part in at least one different sports event with other local schools, like rugby tournament, cross-country race and mini Olympics.
In all our activities, we try to develop both team working and independent learning skills. Class 3 is full of healthy, happy, helpful learners!
