Welcome to our School . . .

Our outstanding school is in a lovely rural setting and has a mixture of modernized older buildings and newer additions. We have 4 well-equipped, spacious classrooms, a purpose-built library, an outdoor learning pod, cloakrooms, offices and staff room.

We are lucky to have an extensive outdoor area, including tarmac playgrounds, an early-years area, adventure playground, large field and a fantastic wildlife/forest schools area with its own small wood, pond and stream. We also make use of the adjacent Village Hall and community tennis court.

The school is currently organised into 4 classes:

EYFS/Key Stage 1: ages 3 - 7. Class 1 and Class 2

Years 3 and 4: ages 7 - 9. Class 3

Years 5 and 6: ages 9 - 11. Class 4

Small teaching groups enable us to know every one of our pupils and their unique needs well so that we can give them real individual attention and quality personalised learning.  This helps us to achieve excellent value-added results and outcomes. Ofsted judges our teaching outstanding and our assessment systems exceptional.

Our school has rated very highly compared to others locally and to National figures at EYFS, KS1 and KS2 for the last 4 reported years. In 2019 we were in the top 1% of schools and came joint 1st nationally for value-added progress from KS1 to KS2, when compared with schools of pupils at similar starting points.

Our excellent Wrap-Around Care (Breakfast and After-School Clubs, plus a wide variety of extra-curricular activities available throughout the year) also enables us to meet the daily needs of busy families.
